Questline suggestion

Here is questline i believe could be implemented and would greatly benefit bringing more people to investigate Toulan/DSEC9/Monria.

I'm posting here but as you see can be applicable anywhere. Currently ill focus on Mountain of madness, but can be changed easily according to preference of admins.

As you can see, scanning is a bit forgotten profession, as ppl mostly use it randomly, or while hunting to increase looter professions etc.
This way would entice ppl to focus it more and get those needed skills much easier after long questing required. Would make actually worth it reward without cost to game.

Questline:

Quest1: Intro Quest: Crazy cultist

Weird NPC with new scanner(mentioned below) appears randomly during any wave event (common occurrence), upon interacting with him he gives quest to "find out more about strange figure"

Place new NPC or use any current to trigger questline below:

Quest 2: Introduction to scaning: Researching the data

Reach level 5(admins choice) in any scanning profession.

NPC forwards you to collect data needed to create special scanner that can possibly scan even areas and terrain, reveal hidden doors, traps etc. not only for scanning creatures (doesn't actually do, but is for "flavor" of quest).

Tool is later required for accessing hidden area in cave where the 1st NPC(strange figure during event) resides, (1st npc is legendary scientist that went missing long time ago).

Upon reaching lvl 5, or if you already had investigator on lvl 5, proceeds to further.

Reward: Continuing of questline

Quest 3: Quest name: Seeing the unseen

Quest would be in 5 stages
stage 1: scan 250 any Mountain of madness mob and sweat 100 sweat from previously scanned mob/mobs(later needed)
stage 2: scan 500 any of triggered event mobs
stage 3: scan 500 of event mobs @ Niolir's Burrow event
stage 4: scan 500 of event mobs @ Ghreldelb Lair event
stage 5: scan 1000 of event mobs @ The Pyramid of Shut'thend event (this would further push people to come, activate and grind cthylla aswell)

After solution, NPC uses Data to create special spectacles that would allow you to see irregularities in stone/dirt as well as strange energies residing in it to reveal hidden entrances.

Reward: special key for hidden area (spectacles, account bound, non-tradeable - 0,01 TT)

No location of entrance is provided and players have to roam Mountain of madness to seek it. (put Weird rock in some corner which opens passage upon interaction)

Passage is blocked(similar to cyclops caves on Calypso) to any1 not having special spectacles in inventory.

Quest 4: Quest name: Conversing with madman

After finishing line above and accessing area, you see room decorated as research lab inside of cavern, where the "weird fella" you saw on start which triggered quest resides.
Upon speaking to him you learn that he believed that upon enough research scanners technology is more than meets the eye, during his years of research he managed to amplify scanning technology using eldritch methods and reverse it to create plane, which he modeled so he can gather data without interacting with people as he was always referred to as "madman" because of his misunderstood research.
New increased activity outside cave, around pyramid and mountain peeked his interest and therefor he left cave to investigate.

He scans you(to see if you completed previous questline) and offers to make you one of his special scanners.

Quest reward - unlimited scanner (tradeable ofc) (with decent eco so makes it worth the grind for players)
Claiming reward - 50k vibrant sweat required and approx~50ped value of looted oils (spleen, muscle, eye, adrenal, brain etc.) to get the scanner(TT of scanner 50 ped(can be 100Ped TT, but is required to be repaired if more as you get TT what you turn in)).

He also gives you access to his planar area he created for his experiments.

Scaning Quest 1to30 - repeatable every 24 hours: Never judge a book by its cover
Keeps count of repeatables done.

To access "plane" through portal in his cave you need:
NawaCore MK3, spectacles, New scanner at and of questline and 100 vials of vibrant sweat that portal consumes upon entering(required on every entry).

Portal in his chamber leads to area with 3 massive pillars that you can interact with. Scanning them counts as new mob each scan so you can grind away your scanning skills and all the trouble is worth-while for players. So basically, like sweating but with scanners, spam that button, spend some time and gain skills that are crucial to any player.

Pillar one - animal investigator
Pillar two - mutant investigator
Pillar three - robot investigator

Pillar one you would get access to immediately after completing all quests and gathering necessaries to enter.

PIllar two you would unlock after finishing repeatable quest 15 times(15 days)
Pillar three would unlock after 30 times(30days) completion of quest

15 repeatable - upgrades scanner so can scan pillar 2 (something like 10k sweat + additional items)
30 repeatable -upgrades scanner so can scan pillar 3 (something like 10k sweat + additional items)

Instance would last for 2 hours, entrance consumes 100 sweat each time, repeatable quest would require you to make 1000 scans, and would reward you with either skill connected to scaning, or 500 nova or blazar.
After completion, you are free to stay and skill for remainder of time, but after 2 hours pass, you need 24hour cooldown to enter again.

So every 24 hours, you can spend 2 hours scanning and increasing your scanning skills easiest way possible, absolutely "worth it" reward for any starting/mid and even some higher level players.

This also enables further quest development options and branching quests if admins would like to develop into it more.

I believe this would attract many players to come and investigate, ton of newcomers as well and would generally be great incentive for current playing base to come and discover virtualsense.

Let me know your thoughts and admins, can it be done?

Thank you for posting your questline suggestion, but just as an FYI ... the team doesn't respond to development or content suggestions. If something is doable and fits within the vision that Ant has for any of our locations, then he will give consideration, and if something is a go, then it will show up in a future VU. The one strict rule that we have is that we don't discuss future development, and we don't reveal any of our content development until a VU day and it's written in the release notes.
