Just a little news from the music front....

Hi everyone

I want to share the direction and progress of the music on the DSEC area's. Never hurts with a little update on whats to come...

DSEC did get an overhaul once on the music front, the music was united across the zones, Tracks got updated and atmospheric ones added. This was definitely an upgrade and a lot of progress. But i want to share that a final overhaul is currently a work in progress, and it will be a mix between all new tracks and quite upgraded ones, They will be more complex and more "epic" in style. I am around 1/3 of the way to a release that will most likely consist of 15 tracks & from there i will expand the soundtrack.

My vision for the soundtrack and the expectations i set for myself requires everything to be taken to the next level. with the current soundtrack i kind of gave myself time and room to put in the work required to do exactly that. Can i ever create the best soundtrack in EU? It might be hard to do, but if i can come close i will be satisfied.

I will take it to the next level - a promise from your NoBion.

A little update on progress.

The new soundtrack is planned to be released with the next VU (If everything goes to my plan). Its a pretty solid upgrade.
- Multiple of the tracks are all-new
- Some old tracks will be remaining, but in a updated and better version.
- Complexity throughout tracks are greatly increased, the tempo of the songs are overall higher and more dynamic.
- Atmospheric tracks are still around, but there is less than before and it won't be like now, where its always shifting between the 2.

The soundtrack will be expanded slowly from release, it will launch with around 13 or more tracks.

Hello everyone

I am pleased to say that new and updated music was finally implemented with the latest content release!

This is also the final foundation in which to build upon, as i think this approach is better. The former soundtrack was built on "Combi" tracks to create a crossfade from a normal track (usually higher BPM and more instrumental) and a fade into a more atmospheric track. The idea was good, but it could turn people off when they got 2 slow Combi tracks In a row. People tend to prefer a more dynamic switch between slow and fast.

Due to the above concern that idea have been scrapped and turned back to a regular track system which randomly picks a new song. Now its a mix of the normal tracks and atmospheric ones, so the mix you're getting can be anything really. I like that more and I think people will as well.

In the future more tracks will be added, some all new and others will be old favorites but in upgraded shape.
