Geo's Big Surprise Birthday Party Activities | Sunday, July 25th

I was honored to be invited to the Victory group chat on Discord who was planning a surprise birthday party for Geo because they wanted to include Monria and what we might be able to do for them in the way of activities. I spoke with Ant and we set up the Monria Boss Waves area at the Yogs Borrow in DSEC Forensics for them from 23:00 - 02:00 game time with non-stop Monria bosses, and of course Dunwich who was basically the main event because the respawn was rather quick.

I'm going to do a bullet-point intro with each section and just post all the photos.

Here is how the birthday party activities unfolded ...

Victory Mothership

• everyone gathered at the Command Center aboard the Victory Mothership owned by Geo at 21:00 game time
• he had no clue what was going on, other than their weekly Drop Ship activity in space they do every Sunday
• members of the Victory society and friends like Bonnie and JBK joined in the fun and were actually part of thebirthday party group planning
• when everyone was at the Command Center on the Victory, I did an insta-teleport to join them to wish Geo a Happy Birthday
• birthday wishes rang out, as did a lot of fireworks
• Geo only knew that after their Drop Ship activities, they were headed to Monria, but didn't know why

Drop Ship Space Adventure

• I was going to leave the Victory before they went on their Drop Ship adventure, but was invited to go along
• I had never seen this particular mission in space after it was introduced, so thought I would accept the invite
• these Victory dudes and dudettes are hilarious ... they wanted me to pilot
• I've done enough piloting over the years with the Yamato, but wasn't ready to take on a Drop Ship adventure ... had no idea how that was done
• if I had done this, we'd be in a black hole somewhere in the back woods of space ... probably fighting the end of map server line
• I settled for being able to sit in the Co-Pilot's seat so that I could observe everything ... best seat in the house for capturing photos
• here's the fun thing ... I was enjoying the celebration at the Command Center, but when ready to leave for the Drop Ship adventure ...
• --- I couldn't get into the Co-Pilot's seat
• know why? ... I hadn't yet been added to the Victory guest list, LOL ... guess I can insta-port anywhere ... even to a warp ship I am not a guest on
• once the Drop Ship activities began, I was incredibly amazed ... I love this stuff in space, there should be more space activities for sure
• it felt like I was aboard a Star Fleet mission to take out the bad guys ... but here's something else funny
• I was able to add a star to the ship because anytime I sit in the Pilot or Co-Pilot's seat, my official star shows outside the ship, LOL ... you'll be able to see it

Monria Boss Waves Event

• the VS Team was happy to contribute a Boss Waves Event to Geo's birthday party activities​
• some time ago we created a boss waves area at the Yogs Burrow in the DSEC Forensics crater​
• we can set up a date and the times from when to when for the Boss Waves to occur​
• this makes it easier for us as we don't have to manually spawn the boss mobs​
• all 4 Monria mob bosses were in play -- Level 15 Shoggoth / Level 71 Yog / Level 86 Cultist / Level 182 Shub​
• however, we also included the Dunwich Horror which quickly became the favorite for this group -- Level 274, 100K HP, Ring of Fire AoE​
• up until this event, Dunwich only gave an occasional loot of 800+ ... but this night, he was generous​
• there were several loots of 800+, and the first over 1k loot (1053 I think) ... one of these days he's going to really empty his pockets ​
• our Boss Wave respawns are rather quick, so there was plenty of Dunwich to keep them busy​
• the most difficult for them was the Level 182 Shug-Niggurath boss ... she's a tough one and brings the pain ... JBK likes that though ​
• there is an invisible revive inside the tunnel-way, which is close by, so that makes it convenient to get back quickly to the mobs​
• most of the photos I'm posting are of the engagement with Dunwich ... the Ring of Fire AoE is so cool, but he also sets everyone on fire ​
• we set up their Boss Waves Event for 3 hours ... from 23:00 - 02:00 game time, and they kept at it the whole time​
• at the end ... they HAD to take down the last Shub boss, but Shub-Niggurath gave them a run for sure ... even outside the event area, LOL​
• the Victory group is a cool bunch, and I really enjoyed sharing time with them​
• I even gave Cleetus (Geo's brother) cliff-side ship repair ​

My huge thank you to Victory, and especially Chloe who managed the planning for inviting me and allowing us to contribute to the surprise birthday party activities. For over 16+ years (especially for those who have known me a long time in this universe), I have always advocated for community adventures and fun. It doesn't matter where your home is, or what planet you favor, creating activities in EU is only limited by your thinking and willingness to get involved.

SO much fun ... and that crazy bunch is going to join us next weekend Saturday the 31st for Bonnie's Boss Waves Event on Toulan between 21:00 - 23:00 game time. We created a brand new Boss Waves Event area on Toulan where there too we can set a date and the times from when to when for the Boss Waves. This coming Saturday will be the first time in operation, so we'll see how it goes. We welcome feedback, as always, so that we can continue to improve your experiences at all 3 of our locations.

One of the fun things is watching the ships drop out of space at the Citadel when Bonnie brings her army for the Boss Wave events ... she brings 100+ and it's a sight to see. Wrench's next Mini-SAGE event will also be on Toulan the day before, Friday the 30th, so we're looking forward to that too.

I love when players create fun events ... would love to see more of that.
