MNAT Tutorial # 1 | Introduction
break-c.png

The Monria New Arrival Tutorials were developed to give not only new Monrian Born members of our community information to help understand and navigate experiences more efficiently, but also to be a resource for those not so new in the game, but new to Monria.

The tutorials are basic in nature, but the Monria community is invited to make their own contributions to each tutorial to help everyone understand the dynamics of Entropia Universe and its Real Cash Economy (RCE).

HOW WE DO IT ON THE MOON
break-c.png

Virtualsense Development Team / Monria, DSEC-9 and Toulan Management
  • Eugenio "Anhithe" Wilde -- Virtualsense Owner / Content Creator for Monria, DSEC-9 and Planet Toulan
  • Dark Moon Enigma -- "DM or DME" -- Community & Media Operations / Forum Administration
  • Juanita "Kendra" Wilde -- Development / Marketing / Community Events Support -- Anhithe's Wife
  • Curtis "Pusherman" Mayfield -- Virtualsense Development Team / Technical & Sound Engineer -- Anhithe's Brother
Our community at Monria, DSEC-9 and Planet Toulan will always come first, with a dedicated focus on our new community members. Their activities are supported through the Community Initiatives Program (CIP) established soon after we took over management of Monria on November 26, 2015.

Here are the benefits to being Monrian Born:

  • guidance and activities are supported through the Monrian Born Program
  • we give you a Guide to Choosing a Mentor to be well-informed before making a decision
  • we provide a Monria Volunteer Mentors list to best match time, availability and experience
  • we will work as a group with our Monria Community Assistance Team (MCAT) to support advancement
  • Monria owns its own Mothership -- Yamato -- as well as a Monria Team Staff Ship (Starfinder XXIII)
  • Monrian Borns are eligible for a free space travel benefit with our Monria Space Travel Program
  • be sure to read the info on the space travel sign-up page
  • --- passengers are now required to provide their own space transportation to a planet at low-orbit
  • --- you can also pair up with someone else, but this has to be established before boarding the Yamato
  • the travel schedule is every Friday and Sunday beginning at 20:00 game time
  • first summons at Monria is at 19:45 game time, and final summons at 19:55 game time
  • we send out a first and final summons 15 mins and 5 mins before leaving each location
  • we travel to all planets -- check out our Monria Space Travel Schedule
  • make sure to have all planets and space downloaded so that it doesn't delay a travel schedule
  • we also have the Yamato Repair Skilling Program that gives you skill gains
  • also check out the Monria Interactive Map and the Interactive Space Map
  • and finally -- the entire Monria community is available to support your experiences

The Monria Hub

  • the Monria Hub teleporter (TP) is your initial arrival area
  • this is where the 11 Beginner Missions will begin with Denis Pedersen
  • --- please be sure to click on the beginner missions link to review the missions
  • --- a few of them are tricky and each mission has its own thread with graphics and how to do them
  • there are two mission NPCs near the Hub TP
  • in the interior section of the Hub (behind the wall at the Hub TP), there are more mission NPCs
  • on the second floor above where the Hub TP is, you will find the Monria Trade Center
  • there are NPCs as Auctioneers, Trade Terminals, Technicians, Storage Managers, Repairmen
  • there is an Ad Terminal if at some time you wish to advertise a service, event, or activity
  • --- you need to own an apt or shop in order to use the Monria Ad Terminal
  • there is a crafting tower for completing your crafting missions, but other crafting NPCs are available
  • at the other end of the second floor there are more mission NPCs (crafting and mining)
  • there are also Daily, Combat and Mayhem Token Traders, and a Mining Guild Representative
  • there are 2 Monria Hub Shops on the second level, and 3 more Monria Hub Shops on the third level
  • take the stairs at either end of the interior of the Hub, or use the televator to the left on the ground floor
  • you will find additional non-mission NPCs at various locations in the interior of the Hub
WelcomeToMonria.png .. MonriaHubTradeCenter.png

The DSEC Forensics Crater (formerly known as the Main Crater)
  • this is the central gathering location and where the Monria community connects
  • trading and other activities take place here
  • this is where the non-mission terminals are as well
  • there is a Monria ad terminal where you can create your own ads, but must own real estate to use
  • there are large viewing screens to see what others have advertised
  • this is also where you will see events and other activities advertised, so check frequently
  • the creatures in the DSEC Forensics crater are called Shoggoth and are new-player friendly
  • make sure to take the Shoggoth Hunting Daily mission from Sachem Ursa
  • this is the creature that you will begin skilling on before moving on to others after gaining some skills
Entropia 2017-09-26 14-06-58-25.png...Shoggoth.png

DSEC Mining Camp (formerly known as South Crater)
  • the creatures in the DSEC Mining Camp are called Yogs and the 2nd creature you advance to
  • at some point you will be able to hunt them solo, but can also team hunt them with others
  • while there, be sure to take the Yog Daily Hunting mission from Negated
  • --- go SE from the TP along the rock wall almost into the crater
  • due to previous reconstruction, you must recapture the TP
  • from the DSEC Forensics crater, go SE and follow the road to the abandoned mine
  • --- coordinates of the abandoned mine are --- [38487, 19936, 31]
  • --- be mindful that there are Yogs outside the abandoned mine entrance
  • --- they should be mostly off to the left unless someone aggro'd them
  • --- take the insta-teleporter just inside the abandoned mine
  • --- this will take you to the DSEC Mining Camp -- step on the teleporter and capture it

Entropia 2017-09-26 14-09-19-91.png ... Yog.png

DSEC Military Camp (formerly known as the West Crater)
  • the creatures in the DSEC Military Camp are called Cultists and the 3rd creature you advance to
  • be sure to take the Cultist Daily Hunting mission from Colonel Wang in front of his Pet Stable
  • --- there is also a Taming Mission that he offers
  • the DSEC Military Camp also has a Pet Stable
  • --- go North of the TP along the rock wall to reach the Pet Stable
  • the Pet Stable is owned by @WangXiang and you can view current services here
  • @WangXiang created a comprehensive website here about Entropia Pets and Stables
  • Monria added its own unique Pet to the DSEC Military Camp in Oct 2016 -- Evil Green Leprechaun
  • --- you can capture this pet by using a lower level whip -- the Dominax Moccasin Whip works well
  • we also added the Monria Boxing Ring to the DSEC Military Camp, along with an Event Organizer
  • --- the boxing ring is North of the TP along the rock formation and past Wang's Pet Stable
  • --- the boxing ring is PvP (person vs person) at all times
  • due to previous reconstruction, you must recapture the TP
  • from the DSEC Mining Camp teleporter, follow the road out to the abandoned mine
  • --- coordinates of the abandoned mine are --- [37744, 17987, 110]
  • --- take the insta-teleporter just inside the abandoned mine
  • --- this will take you to the DSEC Military Camp crater -- step on the teleporter and capture it

The Monria Underground Caves
  • there are 4 Cave TPs and a large Cavern TP
  • you are given the Cave 1 TP by default, but the additional TPs must be captured
  • players with more skills can help you capture the additional TPs
  • Cave 1 has lower level creatures and you might be able to make it to the Cave 2 TP solo
  • --- however, we increased the normal spawn and added a Shoggoth wave - it might take some doing
  • from Cave 2 and beyond, the creature difficulty increases
  • along the way, you will encounter the 3 creatures already introduced
  • at the Cave 4 TP you will encounter Monria's 4th creature - Shub - which is the most difficult
  • at the end of Cave 4 you will enter the Shub Cavern
  • the Shub Cavern also has a TP that must be captured

Monria Apartment Towers
  • Monria has two apartment towers -- Cthulhu Tower -- Cthylla Tower
  • the apartments are well-designed and very spacious
  • the default TP is on the 9th floor where you will find non-mission NPCs and 6 player-owned shops
  • an example of a shop in an apartment tower is shown below
  • Shopkeepers within a shop also hold items for sale
  • Monria Shop Owners and their inventory lists can be found here
  • a Monria Shops Inventory Tool was created to make finding items easier on Monria
  • the Monria Directory lists all shops, apartments and locations
  • --- those who sell from shopkeepers in their apartments are identified
  • --- they too have a dedicated sub-section at the forum to list their inventory here
  • --- these lists are frequently updated as players make changes
  • there are standard apartments on floors 1-8, and penthouses on the 10th floor with swimming pools
  • Monria apartments are not sold by Monria Management, but have been given away as prizes in events
  • you can purchase apartments/shops from other players who own one and want to sell

Other Helpful Information

  • Entropia Universe is unlike other games with its Real Cash Economy (RCE)
  • you can deposit funds to support your game-play style, but can also withdraw funds
  • there are those who don't deposit and do well, it just takes longer to advance
  • when someone gives you a gift, it's like they reached into their pocket and handed you cash
  • you will not make money overnight, and it will take time to learn about and navigate possibilities
  • if you learn the basic economics of the game, you will be more successful with your experiences
  • do your homework and research Monria community's needs -- supply and demand
  • find a niche where you can develop your own service or business -- build a network
  • the game is fun, but it can also be like developing a real life business -- knowledge is key
  • it's best to be economical to prolong your game-play, but that will be a personal choice
  • just never deposit more than you're willing to lose, and consider it your entertainment value

Thank you ... several people worked on the information that is there now, and when we can get back to it we will add more tutorials. I need to catch up on converting our storyline into book PDF format before I can get busy with other projects, but we have a nice agenda for the community.

Welcome to Monria, and I need to catch up with you when you get back to the Moon later so I can give you the starter kit. I wish we didn't have that one quest that sends Monrian Born to Calypso so early, it's hard to catch them to get them started with a few things on Monria.

See you later. :)

Quotation: "there is a crafting tower for completing your crafting missions, but other crafting NPCs are available". Question: What is this "crafting tower"?

Kingu is correct ... in the middle of the Trade Center on the second floor at the Monria Hub is a cone-shaped tower that is actually a crafting tower. Click on it like you would a crafting NPC or the crafting machine at Forensics. There used to be one in the middle of the DSEC Forensics location too, but we removed it to make it more open because that is more of a gathering place than any other.

Is this done? "Sweating: we are creating a unique Yogs Burrow in the DSEC Forensics Crater near the Hub; --- this will be the new sweating location and will have a low level Yog; --- as soon as we have finished the project, coordinates will be added here"

Yes, that was finished with a revive area right there at Yogs Burrow with our most recent release update.

The location is at the bottom of this document with other important data about our mobs.

HEADS UP ... I did another edit of this tutorial to bring it more relevant, and added more info.

When answering questions in Monria chat in-game, maybe keep a link handy in sticky notes that you can share that directs them to these tutorials because there's a lot of information available beyond answering one question.

Thank You :)
