'00s Videogame Nostalgia

The aesthetic and art direction of this planet reminds so much of the "werid" RPGs that were popular during the early 2000's. Examples being Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Dark Cloud, and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. Offering a mixed speculative fiction (fantasy and science fiction) world with bold, eccentric, quirky set pieces. Toulan falls into this schema.

Entropia Universe is an MMO from the same time period as these nostalgic games, thorns and all. MMOs were often heavy in bland fetch quests and kill x for y. There will always be a place for this kind of questing, however, no one loves that as an all encompossing questing experience. I think Toulan's main quest does a great job of exploring the planet and giving character. The bomb diffusal was a nice surprise.

Toulan has an interesting lore background that doesn't feel placeholder. Anachronistic multidimential portals in world centuries after an armeggon level event created by wizards. Fabulous. Iconic. Please other planets, do stuff like this.

Expansion of this Lovely Planet

Could we learn a bit more about the mobs and where they come from? I don't think a detailed, verbose outline is necessary. Let's say qaffaz come from some eternal midnight realm filled with sentient crystals or space jelly or something. An easier route could be the soulsbourne route: item descriptions and osmosis world building. When we get the qaffaz tails, you could say how qaffaz use them to lure cosmic prey. When dropping the hides, describe what the cosmic crystal forrests they hunt inside that they use as camoflauge. The other, more conventional idea would be lore dumps through dialogue or "books". I love lore dumps, but not everyone does.

Speaking of lore, I would like the lore to be more explicity available in game. Even if it's somthing like a rare drop or quest item that regurgitates what is on the forum. Entropia sometimes feels disconnected from it's own world, and I think Toulan would have the easiest time reenforcing the environment we are in. Unless you are Level 40+ on cyrene, what exactly is happening on the planet? Couldn't ask me?

I think an expansion of mission lines that have this quirky, maybe not the most reasonable plotine, should be done more. It's okay to be a bit silly as long as the text/writing is decent. One place this could be done is maybe in the daily/hourly quest discriptions. "The Khaffash brood mother tore another hole bring the realm of blah blah blah to Toulan. Could you go cull their numbers? Another example could be more questlines. This would obviously be more work and I'm not trying to be an entitled gamer.

Import External Concepts

I'd loooooooooooooooooooooove an epic questline. This is obviously time consuming and expensive for both developers and players. I'm just saying please can we have long term questline to work through over months/years.

Factions: Can we align with Nahar, Guardian Village, Anti-Jeef, And/or Mages (who are not as gone as once thought)

Neverdie rare spawn missions (Ai and Sickly Argos) are a nice slight change. If we kill 20ish Mokhats, maybe a "shiny" one from their realm shows up.

Lowlevel crafting bps with vibrant sweat and associated quests. Nadia is bored sitting there waiting for you to craft 1000 things.

Spitballing

Related to the "epic" questlines. A long mission chain that makes toulan only items not toulan-only. An example of this is a special Toulan refiner that can combine oil + vibrant sweat or oil and force nexus, or all three to create "Synthetic nawa vials". This could go inline with the refining of the nawa energy cells in some way.

Robot Mobs for leveling reclaiming: Golems and hommunculus. They're basically robots and they mostly fit the theme of Toulan.
