StoreHouse Loots Hard Capped

I am submitting this report under Bugs because I genuinely believe the issue described below is unintended behavior. As we all know, expected returns are typically around 95% of input, unless hunting in a taxed area.

My setup: 3.82 dpp Eff: 89.5%

My runs:

32 runs in Cuhof Legends
Total cycle: 13,760 PED
Average return: 77%

I have no objection to playing in a taxed area, provided this is clearly communicated beforehand. However, in its current state, the Storehouse feels punitive and inconsistent with MindArk’s stated return expectations. And there is also the required additional entrance fee for every attempt.

I respectfully request that this issue be reviewed and corrected. Additionally, please address the Baraka Armor and Nawa core components not dropping at all—this lack of balance in the content is highly concerning.

On par with my findings, it would be nice to have it addressed.

The one thing Planet Partners are forbidden to publicly talk about is anything having to do with loot and/or balancing, which is why there won't be the type of response you perhaps are hoping for, but your feedback is appreciated and taken into consideration. If something is doable based on information provided, then it may be seen at some point, but most things can't be done on the fly and require a PPVU in order to make any changes. However, some things are not in a PP's control and something MA has to address.

I understand and respect the limitations on what Planet Partners can publicly discuss, especially regarding loot mechanics and balancing. My intention isn’t to ask for information you’re not allowed to provide, but rather to highlight results that appear to fall significantly outside the expected range and may point to an unintended issue.

I will also be submitting a support ticket, as the returns I’m experiencing do not align with Loot 2.0 standards. At the same time, I do expect clearer communication from Planet Partners. If loot boxes are indeed capped by MA at around 80%, it raises the question of why this system was implemented in the Storehouse to begin with. It might be more effective (and more consistent with other Cuhofs as is now, after the fix a year ago) to distribute the loot through the mobs, as has already been done elsewhere.

Balancing is something frequently discussed between players and PPs, and that makes sense since PPs cannot play the game themselves. Player feedback is essential to maintaining a fair and enjoyable experience, and it was quite evident at Legends launch that the loot was heavily unbalanced. Unfortunately, some of those issues still seem present.

If there are any limitations or caps on TT returns in the instance, this should be clearly communicated before entering, just as is done with taxed areas.

Please don’t take this as nagging, it is intended as constructive feedback from someone who has spent a lot of time in Toulan and appreciates the direction the planet is taking. The new quest chain is genuinely fun and offers meaningful progression for mid-level players. I simply hope it can be made balanced and attainable, rather than discouraging.

It is my understanding that all instances with chests are capped at 80% ish? (universe wide)
In the old cuhof i ran a test and came out at exactly that.

I have never confirmed this on other planets tho, my info on this comes from other players.

Theyre capped yes, execpt MA/Caly beacon missions. but looks like some of the other planet ones occationaly hof with , more than 80% . The system was never working too well, and the lack of drops and the fake message about being in luck, is also universal, again execpt for beacons, that seems to have been fixed.

If VS is aware that the end-of-instance loot boxes are capped by MA, then why not shift the loot distribution to the mobs themselves to avoid this issue? From my own experience, I have received significantly higher returns than 80% in both Rocktropia and Arkadia instances.

Having the Storehouse returns effectively capped at 80%, combined with Baraka base parts not dropping, Nawa core parts not dropping, and the overall imbalance in upgrade components, makes the Cuhof experience feel fundamentally broken.

If this situation is not intended, please respect players’ time and communicate that these issues are being addressed. On the other hand, if this is the intended design, please state it clearly so players can make informed decisions and avoid content that may feel unfair.

The only thing I can speak to is that the CUHOF Legends is a 2-part instance experience ... first half the loot comes directly from the mobs, if you make it to the 2nd part, then there are chests at the end ... this is the way this instance was designed, and an MA platform system that is used on other planets as well.

With regard to loot cap ... again, it's not something that can be discussed. However, I see in many media chats, including the in-game chat channels and Discords where players incessantly complain about loot returns across the universe, so it's not unique to Toulan.

Also, Ant is aware of posts regarding the item drops, but again, that too is not something we can discuss, but rather take under advisement and see what is doable.

Something to consider is that some changes and fixes require a PPVU in order to update, but we also don't reveal what content development, changes or fixes are being worked on prior to the release date. This is to make sure that everything is implemented.

The other thing to consider is that there is a lot of MA work being done behind the scenes in preparation for the UE5 transition and these efforts can have an affect on more than just the Calypso environment as we have all witnessed, and these things are out of our control, but ... there are also things that are under MA's control that a Planet Partner has no access to, nor can change.

BTW ... I also moved this thread to the Toulan Feedback section because none of what is being reported is a bug.

I recognize the limitations regarding what can be publicly discussed, particularly around loot mechanics and balancing. My goal is not to request details you are not allowed to share, but to provide clear feedback about elements that appear inconsistent or potentially unintended based on player experience. Given the time and PED investment involved, clarity is important for players making informed decisions about engaging with the content.

BTW ... I also moved this thread to the Toulan Feedback section because none of what is being reported is a bug.

Bug 1 – Cuhof Legends Storehouse Return Behavior

From extensive runs, the returns from the second half of the instance consistently behave as though capped around 80%.
If this is intended:
A simple in-instance notice similar to taxed areas would help players make informed choices.
If this is not intended:
It would be helpful to know that this is being reviewed, and whether shifting loot to the mobs (as has been done in other Cuhofs) is being considered.

Bug 2 – Baraka Armor Base Parts Not Dropping

Progressing through the Baraka upgrade chain currently appears impossible for players who do not already own the base armor.
If no drops are intended:
Players will understand that this upgrade path is effectively limited to existing Baraka owners.
If not intended:
An acknowledgment that the drop behavior is under review—whether through adjusted rates or an alternate acquisition method would be greatly appreciated.

Issue/Bug 3 – Nawa Core Parts Missing From Cuhof 1–5

Nawa Core components appear to have stopped dropping entirely from Cuhof 1–5, which blocks the armor instance chain for many players. Understanding whether this is intended or an oversight would help players avoid spending resources inefficiently.

I fully acknowledge that PP actions are constrained both by MA systems and by the PPVU release cycle, especially with the ongoing UE5 transition affecting multiple parts of the universe. Still, from the player side, the absence of acknowledgment of these specific issues can feel concerning, especially in an RCE environment where time and PED investment are significant.
Toulan has been moving in a very positive direction, and many of us genuinely enjoy the new content and want to engage with it. Opening clear, constructive communication about whether these behaviors are intended would go a long way toward aligning expectations.

To summarize (without discussing loot mechanics directly) these are the clarifications i am looking for:

1- Can new players realistically begin the Baraka upgrade chain, or is it only intended for existing Baraka armor owners?
2- Is the current behavior of the second part of Cuhof Legends functioning as designed, or is it something being reviewed?
3- Are Nawa Core parts intended to drop from Cuhof 1–5, or have they been intentionally moved exclusively to card instances?

Thank you again for your time, and for forwarding this feedback to Ant. Players appreciate when communication remains open and constructive, and I hope this helps highlight where clarification would be especially valuable.
