It has been a while since I posted on here and I would prefer it to been a more agreeable reason to do so.
Yog pets have been around for a long time. The main appeal is that they have a Excavation Mastery Skill with mining which is supposed to speed up your mining. Of late, MA has been doing alot of changes which to me signal them wanting to slow down any real FAST progression of any kind. However, with the yog pet the changes mentioned on the internet currently keep changing and the latest ones (if true) simply don't make sense.
Previously, internet information said that the excavation mastery skill unlocked around level 10.5 and you needed to maintain the hp as close to full hp as possible (98>). As of today, the internet has said the following:

For the Yog Hatchling pet in Entropia, the Excavator Mastery passive skill (which increases excavation reload speed by 10%) has two main unlock conditions:
1. Level requirements
Players have reported that simply meeting the level and taming requirements is not enough — you must also perform all of the pet’s “tricks” (or at least the ones required for the skill) to unlock the passive buff Virtualsense.
The skill’s unlock criteria is “Finding claims” entropiawiki. This means you need to actively engage in excavation activities (e.g., digging in Crystal Caverns) to meet the requirement.
Summary:
To unlock Excavator Mastery for your Yog Hatchling:
So, up until literally today (6/30/2026), there was no such requirement for "Aquatic Skill lv 10" being necessary. Other than the yog lives on a desert moon called Monria where there is NO WATER, why do we now have to have a yog qualify with Aquatic Skills (aka the fishing profession)? They don't eat fish, they can't mine in water and nothing they do in skills is "Aquatic -Related". Even if you equip a yog, you have to do it on land first before going into water and when in water, they just grow and eat nutrio bars and just stare at you and grumble the whole time . THEY DON'T DO ANY FUNCTIONAL SKILLS IN WATER AT ALL!
I would ask Ant or DME to really look into this. MA is trying so hard to squeeze ped out of people and draw out skill progression so much that it will cause a serious backlash. The yog pet is just that.. A PET.. You don't spend your 401K and the next 5 years to skill up the fishing profession so your pet can do a promised skill 5 years later. The Aquatic requirement is not necessary except for force players to deposit more into the game than they want to do. If they do this to the yog pet who lives on a desert moon, what will they do to other pet's requirements? They will make it so no one wants to invest in pets at all.
I am asking for Ant or DME to work to remove this redundant "Aquatic skill lvl10 requirement ".
