Same here. I do the mission for the Daily Token and skills. I just wondered how taming and the Codex would work if Leprechauns had been added to the Codex.

I noticed the Leprechauns are not part of the Codex as well.

I heard that the Codex is coming to Monria soon. Does anyone know if the Leprechaun Taming Daily Mission will count towards the Codex? (Does taming a mob count for the Codex, or do you have to kill it?)

I have been focusing on the Leprechan Daily mission and use the following with great success. My taming level was 5 when I started focusing on the dailies on Jan 7, 2021. EDIT: Now I am level 15: [Dominax Original Moccasin] [Melee Trauma Amplifier 1] - optional*** [Artemic Ring, Modified]

Great tip. I made a waypoint and saved it in a sticky note to make it a little easier.
