Yog Pet Excavation Mastery Skill... The changes cannot be allowed to happen.

The pet status screen was already posted above ..it is still the same stats..its 14-15 posts prior to this one on this thread..lol..just look up inito the prior posts on this the thread..it is tricky with my laptop to get these screenshots to post and I have to keep reenabling the in gave video to get the 30 sec clips of HOFS when they happen.

I'm asking you to look again, with all of it in your inventory, it is supposed to come up with a button there that you can activate the buff from the pet status page!

Only thing i got left i that your not actually at 100% criteria and its a rounding error that shows the info erroniusly ?

Shadow, it says that available passive effects are excavation mastery, the "lock" is throbbing green BUT it is not the current effect on the pet (which also happens to be the ONLY effect the yog has). Normally, from that I have seen, the lock isn't green which indicates its in process but it is not active with the pet yog in use. By this, I mean whether I am actually excavating, claiming a mining claim or just having him tag along while I run around, hunt, or do anything.

If the glowing green lock means unlocked, wouldn't it say somewhere "unlocked" and/or that the skill is "currently in effect" with the box at the bottom of the pet status screen shown in the post 15 postings ago?

I'm trying to believe that the "aquatic requirement is not involved here but I'm running out of things to do that are found online to unlock his excavation skill and make it "currently in effect". What else is left?

Shadow, I have done as you asked last 3 times and it is still the same every time with 10 ped on my ped card, 100 animal essence, 5 rare essence and my yog being well over lvl 10 at lvl 13. He now does all 5 tricks whenever I play with him to skill up....Nothing shows up indicating recognition of the excavation skill being unlockable at the pet stable machine. It still will not indicate that pet skill is actually unlocked, the "currently active skill box" at the bottom of the pet status screen does not change..it says nothing at all which means it is not "currently active".

Sorry for making you frustrated. I am definitely frustrated.

The image is a different story than last time, it's at least showing up now, saying that you "cannot afford" it. That box should change to activate or unlock, with having everything on you, in your inventory. (the 100 Essence, and 5 rare essences)

If this isn't working, then you'll probably have to send in a support ticket but from what I can see everything is right. It is just telling me that you do not have enough to unlock it, or it's not on you (I'm only saying this part, from what I can see in that screenshot) I'm just trying to help troubleshoot

They already have a ticket on this...they have not responded yet....it's only been 2 days..they have been known to get to tickets over a week later.. I will update this thread if they provide an answer or solution so it is available to others who wish to tame a pet yog and unlock its excavation mastery skill

Try removing the required ped from ped card and leaving it in inventory as coins. This worked for me

Hi Sith. When I signed on today, I saw your suggestion. So, I went to the pet manager machine but it is saying its' "closed" in red letters. So, either they are working on the problem with the pet machine at the moment or something else is wrong. I did try doing your suggestion but currently when I tried to removing the ped from the ped card and leaving it in inventory, it was no changes happened. I will try again when the red lettering of "closed"is not in effect and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the suggestion.

Try once without using the pet manager. I did this and unlocked it directly from the pet status

lol.. I did that several times Sith.. the same result every time..nothing changed. I am waiting til this Friday and if the ticket I sent them is still unanswered. I will resend them a ticket. I will post their reply whenever I get it since everyone here needs to know if there have been changes .

so, after 2 weeks of waiting (my ticket to MA was issued on 7/1/25, this is where my ticket with MA currently stands 2 weeks later regarding my yog pet unlocking its excavation mastery skill:

This is where I am at regarding my pet yog getting its excavation mastery skill in place according to members on the monria forum. However, there is no excavation mastery skill on the Pet Manager machine at the Pet Stable. Everything that they said I have available as you can see in the link above...10 ped on my ped card, 100 animal essence, 5 rare animal essence and a pet yog named ManagerDoug who qualified at lvl 10 but is currently lvl 13. With everything available and present to unlock ManagerDoug, he still remains unlocked.

So, from what I can tell from their response they are trying to avoid dealing with the problem. I don't know why but after almost 2 weeks, they should have been able to address this but again, the suspicion having ruled out everything I know to do to unlock the yog pet is that they are trying to attach the lvl 10 aquatic skill to my pet yog but not say that outright because I am guessing they would officially need Ant's approval on his virtual property but if no one mentions the "change", it can be just slid though the details of virtual property rights.

If my yog pet does at some point get its excavation mastery skill unlocked, I will add that news to this thread.

So finally got a pet to a point of being able to test to see if anything had changed. While I'm not using a yog pet the system is the same for all pets. (I'm using a Blue Lep) I can say there has been no changes with this I had no issues in unlocking a buff for a pet. I also did not need to go to a pet center to do any of this, did it all right in my inventory! (Only had to go to the pet center to squish a couple of poor pets to get the essence - for the greater good right?)

Going into the Show Pet Status in my inventory

This brings up the pet status like this

Currently, I cannot afford it, as I don't have the essence on me, but it shows that it is ready to unlock. (which, from your images, was the point that you were on)

I have made sure that I have the essence in my inventory, not in storage and made sure that I had enough ped on my card for the price of doing this. I refresh the page by reopening (or pressing info and going back to the passive that I want to unlock)

Now it shows me this

With the 3 ped that it takes to use, and the 15 essence that it needs the cannot afford turns to unlock in orange.

When I click unlock, it pops up with the Confirm Unlock

Then it is unlocked but still needs to be activated.

So pressing Activate will enable the passive buff on the pet.

Now my pet has the buff enabled and can carry on.

While the pet might be different, the system is the same, there has been no changes to this!
