Cards only have to be bought the one time. You can enter without the daily mission too, but you will only get 1 try instead of the 3.

When your finished with the chain you unlock a crafting daily mission.

no doubt, i usually get it when i use a teleport chip, and its always the good boost that gets wasted :(

If you have been afk for a few minutes there is a very good chance the next action you take gives a skillboost. I've noticed this alot.
